WE ARE LPA
The League of Performing Artists ("LPA") is an organization that provides marching bands as a service to professional athletic teams and other notable organizations.

OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE:

THE LPA PIPELINE
LPA is a pipeline for students with professional band aspirations and is creating professional-level marching bands. This includes weekly competitions where member bands compete for cash prizes. Member bands have priority access to collegiate program directors for student recruitment, professional sports leagues for performance opportunities, international travel opportunities, and admission into the annual LPA finalists invitational to compete
for a grand prize.*

HOW TO COMPETE
Each member band pays an annual competition fee which includes admission into all league-sponsored standard competitions, standardized production equipment, league rules, grading scales, & designated competition classifications based on band region, size, and
experience level.

OUR STORY
Maurice J. Grier's path to founding the League of Performing Artists (LPA) was paved with a deep love for music and a keen understanding of the challenges faced by marching band musicians. Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, Maurice was immersed in the vibrant culture of high-step marching bands from an early age.
